“The summer before last my family and I had returned from vacation and found our cat had destroyed our basement carpet. The cat had urinated all over and cut up the carpet with his nails. To make matters worse, we were hosting a big event at the house the following weekend. A friend of ours recommended her friend Mike who came out and helped us find the right carpet and padding for our basement. He helped me move the furniture and got right to work. In addition to doing a thorough job with the customized carpet cuts our basement called for, he went the extra mile to sanitize the concrete floor to ensure there was no remnants of the cat mess to contaminate the brand new carpet. Mike worked tirelessly each evening that week to pull up the old, clean up, and lay the new carpet. Ultimately, because of his work, we were able to hold the event after all! This room has since become a split office for me and a playroom for our kids. I was so impressed with Mike’s attention to detail that I suggested he start a business and offer his talent to those who need a true handyman. In the time since our carpet replacement, I have seen Mike work with countless homeowners on everything from roofing, decking, lawn care, power washing, driveway sealing, entertainment setups, kitchens, baths, and just about everything in between. We are scheduled to have him out again this week to move two fixtures and install a new ceiling fan. I also expect to have him out soon for an estimate to build a deck and paint the walls in some of the high traffic areas.

About Me
MY NAME IS mike
As a child, my father started me early by learning how to diagnose problems and find handy solutions. He was a contractor who worked with his brothers and together they owned Delligatti Construction in Plymouth Meeting, PA. As I recall, I was about 6 years old when I really started learning the trade from him. One of my clearest memories from the time is him saying to me “Put your hands in front of your face, if you want the good things in life you’ve got to work for it.” So I did! As a boy, I learned by handing my Father the tools he needed, then as I grew, I started getting more involved and accompanying him on Jobs. This went on for about 25 years as I continued to learn the trade from him.
In this time, I have also become a Chef, working in the Food Industry. I have started, Owned, Managed, and sold two successful restaurants and one Deli. I am proud to say these businesses still operate today. However, it has been the love of working with my hands that has brought me full circle back into the Construction/Handyman Business.
Delligatti Handy Home Pro Services came into existence nearly two years ago when dear friends of mine had a significant issue at their house. They were planning to host a big family party and after returning from a vacation, found their cat had destroyed their basement carpet. I offered to help a we were able to get the job done ahead of the scheduled party and under budget. Not long after that first job, our CEO, Steve Rowe, and I officially started planning Delligatti Handy Home Pro Services.
